Deet Wise is a Canadian folk artist and novelist who tours in Canada's territories. He lives in Tuktoyaktuk (Tuktuyaaqtuuq) Northwest Territories on the Arctic coast in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. He grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, traditional territory of the Anishinaabe.
